1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Timmins (in the Chair), Deputies Belton, Kenneally and O’Hanlon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1979.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1979 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Office of the Attorney General, Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation, Civil Service Commission, Valuation and Ordnance Survey, Rates on Government Property.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. S. O’Leary (Senior Legal Assistant, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions), Mr. D. Quigley (Chief Legal Assistant, Office of the Attorney General), Mr. A. O’Rourke (Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs), Mr. D.C. Ó Briain (Civil Service Commission), Mr. D. Ryan (Commissioner of Valuation) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned until 11 a.m. on Thursday, 2nd April, 1981.
