1. The Committee met at 11.15 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Timmins (in the Chair), Deputies N. Andrews, Belton, Filgate and Horgan.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1979.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1979 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Department of the Taoiseach, An Chomhairle Ealaion, Economic Planning and Development, Tourism and Transport, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Industry, Commerce and Energy, National Gallery.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Dr. N. Whelan (Secretary, Department of Economic Planning and Development), Mr. N. McMahon (Secretary, Department of Tourism and Transport), Mrs. A. Doris (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. J. C. Holloway (Secretary, Department of Industry, Commerce and Energy), Mr. H. Potterton (Director, National Gallery of Ireland) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned until 11 a.m. on Thursday 26th March, 1981.
