1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present

The following members were present:—

Deputy O’Toole (in the Chair), Deputies N. Andrews, Horgan, Leyden, Morley, F. O’Brien and Pattison.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1978

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1978 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Charitable Donations and Bequests, Office of the Minister for Economic Planning and Development, Labour, Industry, Commerce and Energy.

4. Witnesses Examined

Miss A. Tormey (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Dr. N. Whelan (Secretary, Department of Economic Planning and Development), Mr. T. Ó Cearbhaill (Secretary, Department of Labour), Mr. J. C. Holloway (Secretary, Department of Industry, Commerce and Energy), Mr. J. Nolan (An Roinn Airgeadais) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.
