1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present

The following members were present:—

Deputy O’Toole (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Horgan, Leyden, Morley, O’Brien and Pattison.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1978

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1978 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

President’s Establishment, Office of the Minister for Finance, State Laboratory, Secret Service, Miscellaneous Expenses, Agricultural Grants, Health, Agriculture, Lands.

4. Witnesses Examined

Mr. T. F. Ó Cofaigh (Secretary, Department of Finance), Dr. B. Hensey (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. J. O’Mahony (Secretary, Department of Agriculture) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 1.10 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
