1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present

The following members were present:—

Deputy O’Toole (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Belton, Filgate, Morley and O’Hanlon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1978

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1978 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Office of the Minister for the Public Service, Civil Service Commission, Superannuation and Retired Allowances, Remuneration, Social Welfare, Office of the Minister for Justice, Garda Síochána, Prisons, Courts, Land Registry and Registry of Deeds.

4. Witnesses Examined

Mr. S. Mac Gamhna (Secretary, Department of the Public Service), Mr. C. Collins (Secretary, Department of Social Welfare), Mr. A Ward (Secretary, Department of Justice) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 1.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
