1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy O’Toole (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Belton, Horgan, Leyden, Morley and O’Hanlon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1978

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1978 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Environment, Tourism and Transport, Posts and Telegraphs.

4. Witnesses Examined

Mr. G. A. Meagher (Secretary, Department of the Environment), Mr. N. McMahon (Secretary, Department of Tourism and Transport), Mr. P. L. Ó Réagáin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 1.15 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
