1. The Committee met at 11.30 a.m.

2. Members Present

The following members were present:—

Deputy O’Toole (in the Chair), Deputies N. Andrews, Kenneally and C. Murphy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1977

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the period 1 January 1977 to 31 December 1977 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

National Gallery, Office of the Minister for Economic Planning and Development, Environment, Social Welfare.

4. Witnesses Examined

Dr. J. White (Director, National Gallery), Dr. N. Whelan (Secretary, Department of Economic Planning and Development), Mr. G. A. Meagher (Secretary, Department of the Environment), Mr. C. Collins (Secretary, Department of Social Welfare) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 12.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 13th June, 1979.
