1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies H. Gibbons, Governey, Mac Sharry and Tunney.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1973-74.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1973-74 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Houses of the Oireachtas, Department of the Taoiseach, An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Local Government, Roinn na Gaeltachta.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. M. J. Healy (Clerk of the Dáil), Mr. D. Ó Súilleabháin (Secretary, Department of the Taoiseach), Mr. G. A. Meagher (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Mr. L. Tóibín (Secretary, Department of the Gaeltacht) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment

The Committee adjourned at 12.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
