1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies Bermingham, H. Gibbons, Griffin, Mac Sharry, Moore, C. Murphy, Toal and Tunney.

3. The Committee deliberated.

4. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1973-74.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1973-74 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Charitable Donations and Bequests, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Vocational Education, Reformatory and Industrial Schools, Higher Education.

5. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. S. Martin (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. D. Ó Laoghaire (Secretary, Department of Education) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

6. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.05 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
