PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 3.50 p.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Esmonde (in the Chair), the Minister for Lands, Deputies Daly, Barry Desmond, Haughey, Hogan O’Higgins, Kenny, Kitt, L’Estrange, John O’Leary, Pattison and Tunney.


3. Consideration of Bill.


The Committee resumed consideration of the Bill.


(i) Sections 55 to 58 inclusive, agreed to.


(ii) Section 59.


Amendment proposed (Minister for Lands):


“In page 47, subsection (1), to insert ‘in accordance with the regulations’ after ‘use’ in line 45.”


Amendment agreed to.


Amendment proposed (Minister for Lands):


“In page 49, subsection (8) (c), to insert ‘or if it otherwise ceases to hold the land in respect of which the regulations were made’ after ‘dissolved’ in line 10.”


Amendment agreed to.


Question “That the section, as amended, stand part of the Bill”, put: the Committee divided: For, 5; Against, 5.


For:—Minister for Lands, Deputies Esmonde, Hogan O’Higgins, Kenny and L’Estrange.


Against:—Deputies Daly, Haughey, Kitt, John O’Leary and Tunney.


The Question was declared negatived accordingly.


(iii) Sections 60 to 62 inclusive, agreed to.


(iv) Section 63.


Question proposed:—“That the section stand part of the Bill.”
