PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Esmonde (in the Chair), the Minister for Lands, Deputies Brennan, Daly, Barry Desmond, Hogan O’Higgins, Kenny, Kitt, L’Estrange, John O’Leary, Pattison and Tunney.

3. Consideration of Bill.

The Committee resumed consideration of the Bill.

(i) Sections 37 and 38 agreed to.

(ii) Section 39.

Amendment proposed (Minister for Lands):

“In page 31, subsection (1) (b), line 37, to delete ‘or a designation order’ and substitute‘, a designation order or an agreement under section 18 of this Act’.”

Amendment agreed to.

Amendment proposed (Minister for Lands):

“In page 31, subsection (1) (ii), line 45, to delete ‘or a recognition order’ and substitute‘, a recognition order or an agreement under the said section 18’.”

Amendment agreed to.

Section, as amended, agreed to.

(iii) Section 40.

Question:—“That the section stand part of the Bill”—put and agreed to.

(iv) Sections 41 to 43 inclusive, agreed to.

(v) Section 44.

Amendment proposed (Minister for Lands):

“In page 35, subsection (4), line 36, to delete ‘An’ and substitute ‘Summary proceedings for an’.”

Amendment agreed to.

Section, as amended, agreed to.
