1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies Bermingham, H. Gibbons and MacSharry.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1971-72.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1971-72 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— National Gallery, Office of the Minister for Education.

Further consideration of the following Account was postponed:— Primary Education.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Dr. J. White (Director, National Gallery), Mr. S. Ó Conchobhair (Secretary, Department of Education), Mr. J. R. Whitty (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.45 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
