1. The Committee met at 3.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Senator Sheldon (in the Chair), Senators Garrett and Robinson.

3. Consideration of University Statutes.

Following consideration of the three statutes set out below it was:—

(i) Resolved: That it is not necessary to draw the special attention of Seanad Éireann to the following statutes:—

University College, Cork. Statute XCI.

University College, Galway. Statute LXXXVI.

National University of Ireland. Statute CLXV.

(ii) Ordered: That the National University of Ireland be requested to submit a memorandum explaining the delays in laying certain statutes before Seanad Éireann.
