1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies Bermingham, Crotty, Mac Sharry, Pattison and Tunney.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1970-71.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1970-71 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

National Gallery, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Vocational Education, Reformatory and Industrial Schools, Universities and Colleges and Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Dr. J. White (Director, National Gallery), Mr. S. Ó Conchobhair (Secretary, Department of Education) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.25 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
