1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies R. Burke, Dowling, FitzGerald, H. Gibbons, Nolan, MacSharry and Tunney.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1969-70.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1969-70 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Transport and Power, Lands and Forestry.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. D. Ó Riordáin (Secretary, Department of Transport and Power), Mr. T. O’Brien (Secretary, Department of Lands), Mr. J. F. McInerney (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Interim Report of Committee.

The Chairman brought forward a Draft Interim Report for consideration.

Draft Interim Report agreed to.

Ordered: To report to the Dáil accordingly.
