3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.


4. The Committee went into public session.


5. Witnesses Examined.


Examination of Colonel Hefferon was resumed.


6. Colonel Hefferon withdrew.


7. The Committee went into private session.


8. The Committee deliberated.


9. Sitting Suspended.


The sitting was suspended at 1.35 p.m. until 4 p.m. today.


10. The Committee resumed at 4 p.m.


11. The Committee deliberated.


12. The Committee went into public session.


13. Witnesses Examined.


Examination of Chief Superintendent John P. Fleming was resumed.


14. Election of Temporary Chairman.


Motion made (Deputy Tunney):


“That Deputy E. Collins be the Chairman until the return of the Chairman.”


Question put, and agreed to.


Deputy Collins took the Chair accordingly.


15. Witnesses Examined.


Examination of Chief Superintendent John P. Fleming was resumed.


Deputy Hogan resumed the Chair.


16. The Committee went into private session.


17. The Committee consulted with Chief Superintendent Fleming.


18. Chief Superintendent Fleming withdrew.


19. The Committee deliberated.


20. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 6.40 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday next.
