1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies Edward Collins, FitzGerald, Hugh Gibbons, Patrick J. Lenihan, Nolan, Treacy and Tunney.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1968-69.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1968-69 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—

Defence, Army Pensions, Roinn na Gaeltachta and National Gallery.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. S. Ó Cearnaigh (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. L. Toibín (Secretary, Roinn na Gaeltachta), Mr. J. White (Director, National Gallery), Mr. J. R. Whitty (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 2.10 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
