The following members were present:—


Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Peter Barry, Briscoe, Keating, Patrick J. Lenihan, Nolan and Tunney.


3. The Committee deliberated.


4. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1968-69.


Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1968-69 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Industry and Commerce and Labour.


5. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. J. C. B. MacCarthy (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. T. Ó Cearbhaill (Secretary, Department of Labour), Mr. J. Whelan (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.


6. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 12.10 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
