The following members were present:—


Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies Barrett, Briscoe, R. Burke, E. Collins, FitzGerald, H. Gibbons, Keating, MacSharry, Nolan, Treacy and Tunney.


3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity, accompanied by Mr. S. Mac Gearailt.


4. The Committee deliberated.


5. The Committee went into public session.


6. Witnesses examined.


Examination of Mr. C. H. Murray, Secretary, Department of Finance, accompanied by Mr. A. J. Fagan, was resumed.


7. Sitting suspended.


The sitting was suspended at 4.30 p.m. until 5 p.m. today.


8. The Committee met again at 5 p.m.


9. The Committee went into public session.


10. Witnesses examined.


Examination of Mr. C. H. Murray, (accompanied by Mr. A. J. Fagan), was resumed.


11. The Committee went into private session.


12. Sitting suspended.


The sitting was suspended at 6.30 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. today.


13. The Committee met again at 7.30 p.m.

Examination of Mr. C. H. Murray, (accompanied by Mr. A. J. Fagan), was resumed in private session.


15. Mr. C. H. Murray withdrew.
