With reference to my examination before the Committee on Public Accounts, I wish to state in relation to the secondary school building grants scheme that in 1969-70 the total number of cases where building grants were sought amounted to 310. The projects concerned were at various stages from the preliminary examination of the proposals to the stage where building operations were proceeding or were completed. In seven cases where the building operations had been completed repayments of the 30% of the grant had begun.
