COMHAIRLE LE LEAS ÓIGE—FINANCIAL PROVISION

A Chara,

Arising out of the proceedings of the Committee on the 4th June, 1970 the Chairman requested a note in relation to Chomhairle le Leas Óige, the financial provision for which is in Subhead A.I. of Vote 30.

The general position in relation thereto is as stated by me to the Committee. During the financial year 1969/70 a provision of £53,890 was made for An Chomhairle. Of this sum £31,840 related to direct teaching activities. The balance was spent mainly on overheads and contained a sum of £8,000 which was given to affiliated clubs in respect of rent of premises, etc.
