1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary) (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Crowley, Gilhawley and Healy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1967-68.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1967-68 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Industry and Commerce, Charitable Donations and Bequests and Social Welfare.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. C. B. McCarthy (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. J. S. Martin (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. L. Ó hUanacháin (Secretary, Department of Social Welfare) and Mr. K. M. Fowler (Secretary and Director of Audit) were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
