1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary) (in the Chair), Deputies Crowley, Gilhawley, Healy, Kenny, Molloy and Treacy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1967-68.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1967-68 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Defence, Army Pensions, Roinn na Gaeltachta, Valuation and Ordnance Survey and Rates on Government Property.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. S. Ó Cearnaigh (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. L. Tóibín (Rúnaí, Roinn na Gaeltachta), Mr. J. Mooney (Commissioner of Valuation), Miss M. Breathnach and Mr. J. R. Whitty (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.35 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, 6th February, 1969.
