1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary) (in the Chair), Deputies Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Patrick Byrne, Crowley, Healy, Kenny, Molloy and Treacy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1966-67.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1966-67 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Valuation and Ordnance Survey, Rates on Government Property, National Gallery, Employment and Emergency Schemes and Social Welfare.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. Mooney (Commissioner of Valuation), Mr. J. White (Director, National Gallery), Mr. M. Hawe (Employment and Emergency Schemes), M. L. Ó hUanacháin (Secretary, Department of Social Welfare), Miss M. Bhreathnach and Mr. P. S. Mac Guill (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.35 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
