1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary) (in the Chair), Deputies Andrews, Briscoe, Patrick J. Burke, Cluskey, Crowley, Healy, Kenny and Molloy.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1966-67.


Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1966-67 was resumed.


The Committee continued its examination of Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General.


The following Accounts were disposed of:—Charitable Donations and Bequests and Public Works and Buildings.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. P. Berry (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. J. S. Martin (Secretary, Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. H. J. Mundow (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. T. K. Whitaker, Mr. S. Murray and Miss M. Bhreathnach (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.


5. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 2.20 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday next.
