GRANTS FOR CALVED HEIFERS: FRAUDULENT CLAIMS.

Subhead K.14—Scheme of Grants for Calved Heifers.

In the period 1 January, 1964, (the date of inception of Scheme) to 31 March, 1966, twenty-five claimants under this scheme were prosecuted for making fraudulent claims. In twenty cases convictions were obtained; the other five cases were dismissed on their merits.
