EXPENDITURE ON GALWAY HARBOUR.

At the proceedings of the Committee on the 4th November, 1965, I undertook to supply information as to the works covered by the expenditure of £28,390 16s. 7d. to 31st March, 1964, on New Work No. 38, Major Fishery Harbours—Galway.

That expenditure comprised mainly the following:

(i) Model Investigation: This work was commissioned on contract and payments

(ii) Trial Borings and Soil Samplings: This work was also carried out on
contract; the cost was			..	..	..	£17,994	1	5
						£27,437	14	2

The balance was incurred on other necessary preliminaries e.g. hydrographic survey work and the installation of an automatic tidal gauge.
