1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Carter, Clinton, Nicholas Egan, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary), Kenny, Lalor and Treacy.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1962-63.


Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1962-63 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Central Mental Hospital, Stationery Office, Health, Posts and Telegraphs and Office of the Revenue Commissioners.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Dr. W. J. Coyne (Governor, Central Mental Hospital), Mr. B. Ó Brolcháin (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. P. S. Ó Muireadhaigh (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. L. Ó Broin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. S. Réamonn (Chairman, Revenue Commissioners), Mr. J. Whelan (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.


5. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 1.35 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, 4th June.
