1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Patrick J. Burke, Carter, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary), Lalor and Treacy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1962-63.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1962-63 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Roinn na Gaeltachta, Employment and Emergency Schemes, Defence, Army Pensions, Valuation and Ordnance Survey and Rates on Government property.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. S. Ó Braonáin (Rúnaí, Roinn na Gaeltachta), Mr. R. Ó hÉigeartaigh (Director, Employment and Emergency Schemes), Mr. A. Mac Brádaigh (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. J. Mooney (Commissioner of Valuation), Mr. J. R. Whitty (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.15 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
