1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Carter, Clinton, Cunningham, Nicholas Egan, Patrick Hogan (South Tipperary), Kenny, Lalor and Treacy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1962-63.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1962-63 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Transport and Power, Industry and Commerce, Office of Public Works and Public Works and Buildings.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Miss T. J. Beere (Secretary, Department of Transport and Power), Mr. J. C. B. MacCarthy (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. H. J. Mundow (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. C. J. Byrnes (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1.50 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
