BOVINE TUBERCULOSIS ERADICATION SCHEME: LOSS ON REACTORS.

Memorandum:

The figure of £25 19s. 11d. which appears at paragraph 46 of the Comptroller and Auditor General’s Report for 1960-61 (and was furnished in answer to a specific audit query) represents the average loss on the sale of reactor cows in that year in all areas other than the Six Southern Dairying Counties.

The average loss on reactor cows purchased in all areas in 1960-61 (including the Six Southern Dairying Counties, where pedigree cows only were bought) was £28 1s. 4d.
