SUPERANNUATION AND RETIRED ALLOWANCES.

When the Vote for Superannuation and Retired Allowances, 1960-61, was being discussed at the proceedings of the Committee of Public Accounts on 1 March, 1962, I undertook to furnish a note on the number receiving compensation allowances under Article 10 of the Treaty.

Article 10 compensation allowances are borne on the Vote for Superannuation and Retired Allowances (subhead C) and the Vote for Posts and Telegraphs (subhead J). The number receiving allowances from these Votes is 364 and 162, respectively, according to the latest available information.
