APPENDIX VIII.

RURAL IMPROVEMENTS SCHEMES.

Cléireach an Choiste,

Coiste um Chuntais Phoiblí.

In the course of my examination before the Committee of Public Accounts on 8th March, 1962, I undertook to furnish a statement of the distribution by counties of the allocations made under the Rural Improvements Scheme for the two financial years 1960-61 and 1961-62. On review I think it desirable to include 1959-60 also. I append a county by county statement showing particulars of the schemes sanctioned in each county in the three year period as well as the percentage of the total. I also enclose for reference a statement giving particulars of the change in the rates of the contributions introduced with effect as from 1st June, 1961.
