THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 3 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Cosgrave (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Seán Browne, Carty, Cunningham, Jones, Moloney and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1958-59.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1958-59 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—National Gallery, Employment and Emergency Schemes, External Affairs, International Cooperation and Agriculture.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. T. McGreevy (Director, National Gallery,) Mr. R. Ó hÉigeartuigh (Director, Employment and Emergency Schemes), Mr. C. C. Cremin (Secretary, Department of External Affairs), Mr. J. C. Nagle (Secretary, Department of Agriculture), Miss M. Bhreathnach, Mr. C. J. Byrnes and Mr. J. F. MacInerney (Department of Finance) and the Secretary and Director of Audit were examined.
