1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, J. Brennan, S. Browne, Carty, Cunningham, Jones, T. Lynch and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1957-58.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1957-58 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— National Gallery, Employment and Emergency Schemes and Stationery Office.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. T. McGreevy (Director, National Gallery), Mr. R. Ó hÉigeartuigh (Director, Employment and Emergency Schemes), Mr. T. J. Malone (Controller, Stationery Office), Miss M. Bhreathnach, Mr. C. J. Byrnes, Mr. J. F. MacInerney and Mr. J. Mooney (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.15 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
