1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, J. Brennan, S. Browne and Haughey.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1957-58.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1957-58 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Local Government, Rates on Government Property, Valuation and Boundary Survey and Ordnance Survey.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. Garvin (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Mr. J. N. McGrath (Commissioner of Valuation), Mr. P. S. Mac Guill and Mr. J. Mooney (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 11.45 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
