IMEACHTAÍ AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Déardaoin, 3 Nollaig, 1959.Thursday, 3rd December, 1959.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Members Present. The following members were present:— Deputy Cosgrave (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Seán Browne, Cunningham, Desmond, Jones, Thaddeus Lynch, O’Toole and Sheldon. 3. The Committee deliberated. 4. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1958-59. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1958-59 was resumed. The following Account was disposed of:— Roinn na Gaeltachta. Consideration of the following Account was begun:—Office of Public Works. 5. Meeting Suspended. Ordered: That the Meeting be now suspended until 11.55 a.m. [Deputy O’Toole]. The Meeting was accordingly suspended at 11.40 a.m. The Meeting was resumed at 11.55 a.m. 6. Election of Chairman. Motion made (Deputy Thaddeus Lynch): “That Deputy Sheldon be elected Chairman for the remainder of the meeting.” Question put, and agreed to. Deputy Sheldon took the Chair accordingly. 7. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1958-59. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1958-59 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Office of Public Works and Public Works and Buildings. 8. Witnesses Examined. Mr. S. Ó Braonáin (Rúnaí, Roinn na Gaeltachta), Mr. H. J. Mundow (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Miss M. Bhreathnach, Miss M. A. Keily and Mr. J. F. MacInerney (Department of Finance) and the Secretary and Director of Audit were examined. 9. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned at 1.5 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next. |
