1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, J. Brennan, Desmond, S. Flanagan, Haughey, T. Lynch, and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1957-58.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1957-58 was resumed. The following Account was disposed of:— Agriculture.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. C. Nagle (Secretary, Department of Agriculture), Mr. C. J. Byrnes and Mr. P. S. Mac Guill (Department of Finance), the Secretary and Director of Audit and the Deputy Director of Audit were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.30 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday, 12th December. 1958.
