APPENDIX VI.LAW CHARGES—EXCHEQUER EXTRA RECEIPT IN RESPECT OF FEES FOR COPIES OF JUDGMENT.Cléireach, An Coiste um Chuntais Phoiblí. In the course of my examination before the Public Accounts Committee on 4 July, 1957, in connection with the 1955/56 Appropriation Account of the Vote for Law Charges I undertook to supply information on the Exchequer Extra Receipt of £22 in respect of fees for copies of a judgement. This was the amount of the scrivenery charge in respect of the making of copies of a High Court judgment supplied to the Solicitor for the plaintiff for the purpose of an appeal in an action against the Minister for Finance and the Attorney General. The arrangement was suggested by the Plaintiff and agreed to by the State as copies were, in any event, being made for the use of the State. A further sum of £221 was received in 1956/57 from the same source an accounted for in the same way. (Signed) T. K. WHITAKER, Rúnaí, Roinn Airgeadais. 31 Iúil, 1957. |
