I am directed by the Commissioner of Valuation to refer to his promise to the Chairman at the meeting on 20th July last to let you have notes on the miscellaneous receipts appropriated in aid of the Ordnance Survey Vote and of the Valuation and Boundary Survey Vote for the year ended 31st March, 1955, and to state that the information required is as follows:—


Ordnance Survey Vote.

In May, 1954, following a periodic inspection of materials and equipment, £66 2s. 3d. was received in respect of the sale of obsolete zinc printing plates, a quantity of scrap iron, some obsolete brass tools and some worn out rubber boots.


In October, 1954, an obsolete water level and an irreparable theodolite were sold to a museum proprietor for £5.


Valuation and Boundary Survey Vote.

Miscellaneous receipts appropriated in aid in the year ended 31st March, 1955, total £503 17s. 1d. under the following heads:—
