The following members were present: Deputy Carter (in the Chair), Deputies A. Barry, Bartley, M. P. Murphy and Sheldon. 3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1953-54. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1953-54 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Dundrum Asylum, Posts and Telegraphs, Wireless Broadcasting, Defence and Army Pensions. 4. Witnesses Examined. Dr. W. J. Coyne (Governor, Dundrum Asylum), Mr. L. Ó Broin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Lieutenant-General P. Mac Mahon (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. P. M. Clarke, Mr. J. Mooney and Mr. J. E. Twamley (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 5. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned at 12.50 p.m. |
