THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 10.30 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:

Deputy Carter (in the Chair), Deputies A. Barry, Bartley, J. Brennan, Mrs. Crowley, O’Hara and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1953-54.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1953-54 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Local Government, Health, Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora, Agriculture and Fisheries.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. J. Garvin (Secretary, Department of Local Government), Mr. P. Ó Cinnéide (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. J. Dempsey (Secretary, Department of Agriculture), Mr. M. Breathnach and Mr. J. Mooney (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m.
