THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 10.30 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:

Deputy Carter (in the Chair), Deputies Bartley, J. Brennan, Mrs. Crowley and Sheldon.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1953-54.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1953-54 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Technical Instruction, Science and Art, Reformatory and Industrial Schools and Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. L. Ó Muirithe (Secretary, Department of Education), Mr. J. F. MacInerney (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12 noon.
