The following members were present: Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies A. Barry, Bartley, J. Brennan, Carter, Mrs. Crowley, Desmond, H. P. Dockrell and M. P. Murphy. 3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1952-53. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1952-53 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Stationery and Printing, Office of the Minister for Justice, Garda Síochána, Prisons, District Court, Circuit Court, Supreme Court and High Court of Justice and Land Registry and Registry of Deeds. 4. Witnesses Examined. Mr. J. B. Carr (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. T. J. Coyne (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. M. Breathnach and Mr. P. M. Clarke (Department of Finance), and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 5. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned from 1 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. 6. The Committee met again at 2.30 p.m. 7. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Dundrum Asylum, Office of the Minister for Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Technical Instruction, Science and Art, Reformatory and Industrial Schools and Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. 9. Witnesses Examined. Dr. W. J. Coyne (Dundrum Asylum), Mr. L. Ó Muirthe (Department of Education), Mr. M. Breathnach, Mr. J. F. Maclnerney and Mr. T. Malone (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 10. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned at 3.35 p.m. |
