The following members were present:— Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies P. A. Brady, S. Collins, Mrs. Crowley and D. J. O’Sullivan. 3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1951-52. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1951-52 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Health, General Register Office, Posts and Telegraphs, Wireless Broadcasting, Defence and Army Pensions. 4. Witnesses Examined. Mr. P. Kennedy. (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. L. Ó Broin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Lieutenant-General P. MacMahon (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. M. Breathnach, Mr. P. M. Clarke and Mr. J. E. Twamley (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined. 5. Adjournment. The Committee adjourned at 12.45 p.m. until to-morrow. |
