THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies Carter, Mrs. Crowley, D. O’Sullivan and Palmer.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1950-51.

Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1950-51 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Health, General Register Office, Lands, Forestry, Gaeltacht Services, Office of the Minister for Justice, Garda Síochána, Prisons, District Court, Circuit Court, Supreme Court and High Court of Justice, Land Registry and Registry of Deeds.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. P. Kennedy (Secretary, Department of Health), Mr. T. O’Brien (Secretary, Department of Lands), Mr. T. J. Coyne (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. M. Breathnach and Mr. P. M. Clarke (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.
