1. The Committee met at 3 p.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy V. de Valera (in the Chair); the Minister for Defence, Deputies Brennan, Carter, Colley, Cowan, Davern Hilliard and McQuillan.


3. Consideration of Bill.


The Committee resumed consideration of the Bill.


(i) Section 18 agreed to.


(ii) Section 19.


Amendment proposed (Deputy Cowan):


“In paragraph (b), line 49, to delete the word ‘are’.”.

“In paragraph (b), line 51, to insert after the word ‘Force’ the words ‘in accordance with the provisions of this Act, and of the Regulations made thereunder’.”
