THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 4 p.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—


Deputy V. de Valera (in the Chair), the Minister for Defence, Deputies Brennan, Carter, Colley, S. Collins, Cosgrave, Cowan, Davern, Gallagher, Hilliard, McEoin, MacFheorais, McQuillan and T. F. O’Higgins (Junior).


3. Report of Debates.


The Chairman announced that in reply to a memorandum submitted by him on the subject, the Ceann Comhairle had ruled that the Special Committee in reporting to the Dáil should present a verbatim record of its proceedings.


Ordered: That, notwithstanding the order of the Committee made on 20th February, 1952, a verbatim report be taken in respect of this meeting and all subsequent meetings of the Committee.


4. Consideration of Bill.


The Committee took the Bill into consideration.
