THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:


Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies Mrs. Crowley, Davern, Davin, Finan, Gilbride, D. O’Sullivan and Palmer.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1949-50.


Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1949-50 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of: Stationery and Printing, Employment and Emergency Schemes, Agriculture, Agricultural Produce Subsidies and Fisheries.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. J. B. Carr (Controller, Stationery Office), Mr. R. Corish (Director, Employment and Emergency Schemes), Mr. S. Ó Broin (Secretary, Department of Agriculture), Mr. M. Breathnach, Mr. J. O’Donovan and Mr. P. O’Kelly (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.


5. Adjournment.


The Committee adjourned at 12.45 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday, 7th December.
