THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:


Deputy Sheldon (in the Chair), Deputies P. Brady, J. J. Collins, S. Collins, Mrs. Crowley, Davin, M. E. Dockrell, Gallagher, D. O’Sullivan and Palmer.


3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1949-50.


Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1949-50 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Industry and Commerce, Aviation and Meteorological Services, Transport and Marine Services, Industrial and Commercial Property Registration Office and Comptroller and Auditor General.


4. Witnesses Examined.


Mr. J. Leydon (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. Wm. J. Kiely (Secretary, Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General), Mr. T. K. Whitaker, Miss M. Bhreathnach and Mr. M. Breathnach (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.
